Operation Access is seeking surgeons and specialists who admit to Queen of the Valley Medical Center, St. Helena Hospital, and Kaiser Permanente Vallejo Medical Center, and want to volunteer locally to help individuals who lack health insurance, are low-income, and require an outpatient procedure. The three participating hospitals have generously agreed to cover all costs of procedures performed through Operation Access.
For the last twenty-two years, Operation Access has been organizing medical volunteers and arranging surgical and specialty care in the Bay Area, and this year has expanded its program to Napa County. Now some of Napa County’s most underprivileged may be eligible for donated surgical and specialty care, thanks to the combined efforts of local hospitals and clinics. However, the program’s success depends on the involvement of local surgeons and specialists.
For information on how to become involved as a volunteer, please contact Napa Program Manager Daniel Rabkin at (415) 733-0004. Please visit the Operation Access website at www.operationaccess.org.
