In addition to being part of the preeminent physician organization championing the cause of Napa County physicians and their patients, as a member you have access to benefits and programs designed to fit your needs at every stage of your career. No, we are a unified association, and you must also belong to CMA to be a member of NCMS. We believe the key to our organization’s strength is its excellent collaborative relationships with CMA and other county chapters.

Regular Active (Practicing Physicians): $425 + CMA dues, annually.
Physicians who have earned their doctor of medicine or doctor of osteopathy degree and are residing in and practicing in the United States.

Government Employed: $212.50 + CMA dues, annually.

Semi-retired Physician: $212.50 + CMA dues, annually.
Physicians ages 65 or older and are working 1-20 hours per week.

Retired Physician: Complimentary membership.
Physicians of any age who are fully retired from the practice of medicine.

Resident: Complimentary membership for all physicians enrolled in accredited medical training or fellowship programs in Napa.

Medical Student: Complimentary membership for medical students; no dues are assessed for the duration of medical school.

*To be eligible for Government Employed membership category, the physician must receive 50% of annual compensation from county, state, or federal employer.

Non-discounted annual dues is $1,015, which includes $590 CMA dues and $425 NCMS dues.

Dues discounts are available for qualifying physicians. NCMS/CMA currently offers the following discounts. To determine your eligibility, or to request a membership classification change, please contact NCMS at (707) 255.3622.

  • Government-employed (e.g., Yountville Veteran’s Home physicians): 50% discount
  • Age 65 years or older and work 20 hours a week or less: 50% discount
NCMS accepts payment by check, Visa, and Mastercard. There are three options available to members to submit dues payments. You can remit a lump-sum payment, or set up an automatic renewal and/or quarterly installment plan with a credit card. To sign up for automatic renewal or the quarterly installment plan, contact NCMS at (707) 255.3622.
NCMS and CMA dues are not deductible as a charitable contribution for federal income tax purposes, but may be partially deductible as a business expense. 33% of your dues for 2015 cannot be deducted as a business expense for federal income tax purposes.
Certain pages on the NCMS Web site is available exclusively to our members, and require a username and password for access. These pages contain information or tools that are part of the benefit of membership. Members-only pages are often designated with an icon.
